A large percentage of checks are returned instantly and all 8 police jurisdictions in Australia are interrogated. (Federal, NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, NT, WA, TAS).

International Police Checking for 170 Countries

Eliminating costly bureaucracy and delayed overseas information, Fit2work can now provide International police and other background checks across 170 countries.
International police checks are not available through the Police Force or the Department of Immigration so this new service a must for any employee group.

Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing

In recent years Australia has passed extensive legislation aimed to tighten the net around those who present as a risk in regard to money laundering and/or financing terrorism. Fit2work will utilise a number of comprehensive identity databases in Australia allowing you to electronically confirm identity and ensure AML&CFT compliance.

Entitlement To Work (Visa)

Only Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens who have entered Australia on a valid passport are able to work in Australia without restriction. If foreign nationals wish to work in Australia they must obtain an appropriate visa.
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) can confirm Australian citizenship provide verification of a foreign national’s current visa status and give detailed information about their entitlement to work and any of the limitations in place.

Directorship

(Banned securities representatives, Banned futures representatives or AFS banned/disqualified persons) ASIC maintains a register of those persons who are banned and/or disqualified from involvement in the management of a corporation, or banned from practising in the financial services industry under the Corporations Act.

Basic Credit

Fit2work will access in-depth and predictive credit reports on millions of consumers in Australia and New Zealand. This check allows you to integrate commercial and consumer data where required.

Bankruptcy & National Personal Insolvency

The National Personal Insolvency Index (NPII) contains records dating back to 1928. The NPII contains details of: creditors petitions, debt agreements, personal insolvency agreements, bankruptcies, insolvent deceased estates, control orders and authorities.
Under the Corporations Act if an individual is bankrupt or has entered into a personal insolvency agreement they are automatically disqualified from managing corporations and being a director, alternate director or secretary of a company unless you have been given leave by the Court to manage corporations.

Employment History

We have been conducting ‘Employment History’ checks for the past 15 years and are well aware of the rigor required to ensure details are verified with appropriate officers at the place of employment. Information including employment dates and remuneration will also be provided.
